"CINE KIPOS"
Throughout its three seasons of life,
Cine Kipos had gathered more than 14,000 spectators, mainly young people.
In the selection of the film program, Cine Kipos gives emphasis on the promotion
of European films of quality. Since1996 Cine Kipos is a member of the Panellenic
Network of Municipal Cinemas in cooperation with the Greek Ministry of Culture.
The Municipal Summer Cinema "Cine Kipos",
was established in 1995 by Municipality of Chios and its Development Agency.
It is situated in the Municipal Garden (Kipos) of Chios town. The establishment
of the cinema is part of the effort made by Local Authorities aiming to preserve
the typical Greek habit of open summer cinemas.
